An industrial physician is like a “doctor in charge of a company”. We provide guidance and advice from the professional point of view regarding health care management etc. of workers in companies. It is appointed by the company and carries
out various activities to maintain and improve the health of employees.
We conduct health counseling and interviews with employees and judge whether employment is possible if necessary.
In the Occupational Safety and Health Law, it is mandatory to appoint an industrial physician at workplaces with more than 50 employees (Article 13 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act).
If you do not have an industrial physician, it is stipulated that it will be
punished by a fine of 500,000 yen or less. Also, by not setting industrial physicians, if employees suffer from disease or die, they may develop into litigation.
Workplace patrols by industrial physicians, attendance by the hygiene committee, post-exit measures for health checkups, overworking interviews, and stress checks are legally obligatory.
